Nestled at the foothills of the amazing Bitterroot Mountains, Foundation Horsemanship will be your host. Our twenty acre property overlooks the long, slender valley and has spectacular views. Immerse yourself in nature, the scenery and the beauty and splendor of nature's finest animal: the horse.

Is it okay if I have never spent time around a horse? YES! Our horses are very gentle.

Can I bring my own horse? Yes, absolutely.

Is there a minimum length of stay? No. You can choose 1 night or more.

Are meals included? No, but there are plenty of restaurants close by. There is a fridge in the bunkhouse.

Where can I stay? There are multiple options, either on site or in town.

What other things can I do nearby? Shopping, hiking, fishing, floating, farmer's market, etc. The Bitterroot Valley is full of fun things to do.

What to bring

Layers of clothing, closed toed shoes, boots if you have them, a hat, sunblock, sunglasses, long pants, water bottle, personal medications, a flashlight, gloves, a rainjacket, and anything else that will make your stay enjoyable.
